Oğuzkan, whose artistic skills were discovered by his teachers at a very early age in Paphos Primary School, painted soldier and flag themed paintings with the effects of the national feelings of that period as well as other works focusing on Paphos' landscapes and still life. The artist, who started to make large-scale paintings with the influence of his teacher  Abdullah Demiroğlu, later designed posters for different associations and made decors for theaters around him.

Oğuzkan, who worked with materials such as charcoal pencil, pastel and oil paint, entered the Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts in 1969. The most distinctive style of painting that constitutes the identity of Oğuzkan is the paintings filled with symbols in which he describes the different temporal realities in the areas he separates with frames on a single picture plane. In these paintings, which we have examples in the collection, animal figures that symbolize a situation or a person are particularly remarkable. In addition to this, the artist who frequently gives place to spiral figures pointing to eternity, creates his own style with many different attempts from the period he entered the Academy.
